Holiday outreach

CCA will be observing a special Christmas Eve service on December 24th at 4:00pm.

In advance of this, CCA parish members braved the elements the last couple weekends to host a table at the nearby Vaiuso Farms Christmas tree market, offering visitors (free):

  • Hot coffee, water, juice boxes, and cookies
  • Candy canes with CCA’s “business” card
  • Tree ornaments bearing Christ’s names and titles
  • “A Gift for All” Our Daily Bread holiday devotionals
  • CCA flyers and info

It was truly astonishing to see how quickly Father Stan and CCA rallied to make this happen after Carol’s suggestion a few weeks earlier, with folks pitching in for things like:

  • procuring the necessary permissions (Fr. Stan & Jerry)
  • gathering food items & materials (esp. Jeanette)
  • creating business cards & flyers (Pat & Noel)
  • customizing the candy canes (Jeanette)
  • designing & ordering the banner (Tom & Pam)
  • building a frame mount for the banner (Jerry)
  • going on coffee runs (Tom)
  • staffing the table (Tom, Pam, Jerry, Diane, Joanne, Jeanette, Michael)

Special shout-out to Tom, who was instrumental in coordinating and driving the events, not to mention setting up and staying for most of the shifts! As well as to Mr. Mark Vaiuso for allowing us to share their space.
