Missions & Outreach

FR. GIL LITERACY CENTER
Students in Nigeria are equipped with school supplies to aid them in their education.

Located in a small village, the school was named in honor of the late Rev. Gilbert Wilkes, who was the rector of Christ Church Anglican when the need for a school first emerged. With his support and leadership, the Fr. Gil Education Center was formed.

More than 15 years later, this school continues to provide an education to the children with supplies and funds donated by CCA.

FR. GIL WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT CENTER
Also part of our Nigerian ministry is the Women’s Empowerment Center. Sewing machines and supplies were sent for the women to start a trade, and CCA continues to support this mission.

NEW REACH WOMEN’S SHELTER
CCA provides continual support to this program which aims to “build brighter futures on a foundation of housing, support, and services.” Collections are made throughout the year for items needed by the women. Gifts are given for Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc.

WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
CCA sends continued support for this worthwhile cause, which seeks to support and empower wounded, ill, or injured veterans (particularly post-9/11) and their families.
