Reverend Stan Price is our Vicar here at CCA. He is administering to the needs of our parish and leading us in worship. We are so blessed to have Fr. Stan with us.
Father Stan was born in Newbury, Massachusetts. He and his late wife Debbie were blessed with four children. Debbie went to be with the Lord in 2015. She has left us, if so temporarily, with a legacy of lovely relationships and a testimony of good and steadfast faithfulness in the midst of cancer.
Stan spent 27 years in the Navy and then he and Debbie relocated to Groton in 1996. Stan was being coached for service to God at an early age. He surrendered his life to Jesus Christ while listening to Billy Graham. Throughout his Naval career, Stan was mentored by a chaplain, who seemed to be following him from duty station to duty station.
In 2007, Stan had a serious motorcycle accident. As he lay below an embankment, he had a strong sense of God's presence. During his recovery, he began his studies for the diaconate and ultimately was ordained a priest in 2012.
Last year Stan married his friend and companion, Carol McGuire. Their wedding ceremony and reception were held at Christ Church Anglican and attended by their children, grandchildren, family, friends and his church family here at CCA.
